If there is anything close to a gaffe that liberals may try to gin up, it would be Trump's answer on "fist strike" with nuclear weapons. However, it is a double-edged sword that can cut both ways.

Trump was trying to defuse the attack that he cannot be trusted with the "nuclear codes" by saying he won't start a nuclear war because convential weapons can do the job.

Clinton will say (and did last night) that it shows that Trump doesn't understand our mutual defense treaties with our allies. Clinton said "I will honor our agreements."

Does this mean that Clinton would start a nuclear war? How will the anti-nuke anti-war Left respond to that? How will the Left reconcile "Trump can't be trusted with the codes" with "Clinton CAN be trusted to first-strike a nuclear attack?"

I don't think Hillester did themselves any favors belaboring the the idea Trump supported the war, either.
