How Trump won over a bar full of undecideds and Democrats
NY Post ^ | September 26, 2016 | Salena Zito

YOUNGSTOWN, Pa. – Ken Reed sat down at main bar of the Tin Lizzy tavern with two things in mind, to dig into the tavern’s oversized cheese steak and watch the presidential debate.

“I am hungry and undecided in that order,” he said digging into the savory dish in a bar that dates back to 1746.

Kady Letoksy, a paralegal by day, a waitress and bartender at night at the Tin Lizzy sat beside him, at 28 she has never voted before, she is now thinking it might be a good idea.

Letosky entered the evening undecided in a town that is heavily Democratic in registration, her Dad she says is ‘extremely liberal’ her sister the opposite. “Trump had the upper-hand this evening,” she said, citing his command of the back-and-forth between her and Clinton.

The pundits on Fox this morning were saying that Trump missed opportunities, that instead of just answering the question he should have "pivoted" to talk about something that he wanted to talk about.

I only watched a few bits of the debate but he seemed "Presidential" whereas Hillary's strategy has been to paint him as some scary person who should not be entrusted with the Presidency. I was watching the Miami Marlins game which was very emotional (everyone wearing a Fernandez 16 jersey)...during commercial breaks I would check on the debate and if Hillary was speaking immediately change to a sports channel. First Miami batter hit a home run--first of the season for him.

I, like millions of others, was disappointed that he missed so many opportunities to nail the witch. This Election could be over now were it not for that. Thanks for posting this article; it was excellent.

I read he did it on his first swing. Could we get him to debate Hillary? Our guy did not defend the plate very well. LOL.

How anyone with a brain can be undecided at this point is really hard to understand. How any of these could even consider the Witch is unbelievable. These “undecideds” are complete fools.

That is a great anecdote. I hope there are millions reacting like your nonpolitical cousin.

The anti-politician aspects of this election are enormous - and fascinating.

Hopefully Trump will take both gloves off next time. He let her get away with portraying him as a nasty, sexist at the end of the Debate. He held back on bringing up Predator Bill’s past becasue Chelsea was in the audience. Does he want to be President or be Chelsea’s friend. She’s just as corrupt as her sorry ass parents.

Some of the most important subjects against Hillary did not come up. But the debates are like acts in a movie. Each one has different subject material.

It is better for those things to come up in the next debates anyway. And those that won’t watch them probably didn’t watch more than the first half hour of this one, which is the part where Trump did well.

Hillary proved that she is NOT the smartest woman in the world, and she is far from a tough, independent woman, because once again, she had to depend on a man (Lester Holt) to do a lot of the heavy lifting for her. Clinton really hasn’t accomplished anything on her own. She rode Bill’s coattails into the senate, and rode 0bama’s into the State Dept. Now, she cannot even campaign on her own, she has to have her media lapdogs do most of the heavy lifting while she diddles around with a few hundred high school kids here and there. She also has to call in Biden, 0bama, and Bill to lend her a hand.

I think a lot of undecideds are in two classes:

1. Those that have been paying no attention on the principle that if they ignore the politicians, then they get hurt less.

2. Those that have decided, but the outcome is opposite their normal leanings (i.e.: liking Trump despite being a dem).

Then we have the never-Trumpers, who do not fall in these categories. They have decided, but anyone with any mileage left in their political career is now facing this enormous brick wall called voter enthusiasm that is pushing them to reconsider.

Hillary may have tactically won the debate, but Trump went a long way towards strategically winning the war!!

Check out this post debate poll! This is a REAL poll, not an online survey. Look at 1) issues that lead toward favorability, and 2) where the undecideds went!

Actually he won and articles like this prove it.

Luntz’s focus group proves it: no, Trump didn’t move the dials up a lot, but Cankles caused the dials to CRASH with undecideds in her harangues.

Finally, Trump’s control of the social media and ALL the polls that say Trump won will resonate by people who didn’t see it.

The later ones matter if people watch. I couldn’t stand listening to her sp this household is done with debates. We know for whom we are voting (early) and we are pretty confident that going to a really good restaurant the nights of the other debates will get us some of the best seats and food in town!

Yup, Hillary has caught one lucky break after another with the help of men in her life.

That’s over - she is not a strong, self-reliant and confidant woman.

She left the debate when it was over, which speaks volumes about her political prospects.

Hillary is done.

Holt’s display in this debate was too early

He is going to moderate again? Trump should tell him he is fired.
