During the protest in Oregon this year the sheriff in the neighboring county, Glenn Palmer, suggested talking to Ammon Bundy and the protestors.

He met with them and said publicly the Hammonds should be released from federal prison as part of a deal.

Palmer has been under constant attack from the media since and the state government is also investigating him.

A political campaign has been launched to support an opponent in the election this November.

Grant County has fewer federal employees living in it than Harney County, fewer government employees in general meaning fewer pro-land control voters in elections.

This will give Palmer a better chance of winning.

Hope he wins, running away with it. Hope the people of Palmer Cty support him to the fullest. The most powerful man/woman, anywhere in America, is the elected Sheriff. If he wins again, anytime a federal employee/agent drives thru his county, I sure hope they do felony stops on all of them.
