Assuming Hillary doesn’t die - literally - on stage, the press will praise her victory. But people will make up their own minds. Rush said he learned from his television show that people remember the optics, not the statements. They remember their feelings, not positions.
Trump is vastly more charismatic than Hillary. He doesn’t have her bitter face or bitter voice.
My guess is Trump will be blasted by the media, but people will prefer him two to one.
Media will proclaim Hillary! the winner. It's a foregone conclusion.
However, as long as Trump doesn't utterly screw up onstage (and I doubt he will), people who actually watch the debate will disagree with the media completely.
We're watching the self-destruction of the old-school media, in real time. I'm enjoying it, it's like watching a much-anticipated trainwreck.
