I think Trump should just cut him off by saying, "Excuse me, Lester. Are you the democrat nominee for president? If so you're at the wrong podium, if not, then ask your question, shut your mouth and let me and Mrs. Clinton debate."

the american voter has an attention span of one month. no one will remember candy crowley. calling lester candy will come across as cryptic at best (or overly anal-retentive at worst), which is not where trump needs to go to win millenial, minority, and female support.

Many years ago there was a movie called “The Longest Yard.” The ref was making calls on the guards behalf so the quarterback of the convicts kept throwing the ball at the refs nads. Eventually the ref got the gist of what was going on and started to call a clean game.
Same thing here. Be friendly with your attack and the fans will love you for it. Be confrontational and you come off like you have a bad temper, basically playing into Hillary’s narrative.
