I believe Secretary of State Tom Schedler in Louisiana has a system that prevents the dead from voting. He keeps a website of all current voters and their party affiliation, accessible by name and month and year of birth or by zip code. As soon as one dies, usually within three days, the name is deleted from the rolls. His model may be the one to follow elsewhere.

yes, there is no excuse for sloppy voter rolls.

If you do not pay a county bill, the state will ding your state tax refund. When it comes to revenue, they are on top of it.

Keeping sloppy voter rolls is intentional.
