Everybody’s still in “joking” funny mood ...

I sometimes think that freepers joke a bit much given the gravity of our circumstances. I lost a beloved pet earlier this week and am having a difficult time with it. Humor is largely a defense mechanism.

Well .. if it’s over the top, I just close the thread and go on to something else.

It’s not like we are forced to read the whole thread ..??

If you’re not up to laughing .. don’t let it get you down. Just find another thread you can enjoy reading.

Yes, losing a most beloved pet is shattering for awhile. Probably our tendency to make jokes is born out of a feeling of powerlessness, sort of like bargaining with death. Just cannot be done. I hope you feel better soon. It’s a tough loss.

I am so, so sorry. I still cry over pets that have passed on. The pain never truly goes away.

The song is available quickly with a search ‘Precious Little Friend - Dusty's song. You may have heard of it. Recommend to all grieving pet owners.
