Whereas Jeb was stupid with money the Clintons just straight on bribe people to get what they want or intimidate them.
Obama is overseeing some pretty scary big data stuff building massive databases, allow the FBI and law enforcement to continue the process of parallel construction, prism, co-traveler and many others. These are very sophisticated systems.
One thing about Obama is he seems to respect the power of IT and has used it effectively to his advantage through out his rise. Usually to take out his political opponents
More than likely the president was doing the same thing (Running an illegal off the books server) but doing it before Hillary but doing it competently - Its probably where she got the idea, but as typical botched the execution.
Now here incompetence has exposed him - and maybe they (clintons/obama/nsa) already know all of these system were compromised - and what was on them ... illegal Iranian negotiations perhaps.
My guess is the exposure shows that Obama a big phony crook (shocker) doing something very naughty, illegal and greedy. .
