He used a Virginia Drivers license to buy a gun. It appears that were just using the Virginia house to hide out

This landlord seems unclear on the concept of ‘see something, say something.’ She should be rumbling the terrorists, not the FBI.

The fact that it was in the Roanoke area should not fall on deaf ears. Several websites have pinpointed certain areas in the U.S. where activity is under scrutiny, although I would be cash money (if I had disposable income) that you will not hear of it from the current administration.

Thanks for posting. I heard it mentioned on WFIR a little while ago and I just checked to see if anyone else had posted it. You beat me to it.
Interesting that they set up a front address in Roanoke so that Ahmad Rahami could get a VA drivers license and was then able to "legally" buy a handgun in Salem in July.
Another small tidbit of info I picked up this past weekend. A large gun store in Salem which is always at Roanoke area gun stores was having a big BATFE audit this past week. It's very possible that this is where Rahami acquired his Glock.
So Rahami is Roanoke's 2nd famous jihadist. The first was Major Nidal Hasan of the Fort Hood massacre.
What is going on with Roanoke and jihadists?

Roanoke an Islamist hotbed?
Who knew?
To: AppyPappy
He used a Virginia Drivers license to buy a gun. It's an expensive dodge, but the rental might have been his way of getting around NJ gun laws. There might have been no intent to use the house other than for this.
To: Perseverando
I bought stuff at the store. They get good deals on WW2 surplus.
There is a decent sized Muslim population and you will be off the radar.

I wonder if they were hiding out. Getting a gun illegally in NY/NJ is pretty easy if you have lots of money.
Maybe his plan was to light off the bombs then scoot to Roanoke.

So many other “residents” of that address on Patterson Ave. have been able to acquire VA drivers licenses and firearms and get them back to NY & NJ?

Yep. Great store & great folks at the store! I believe they are above reproach. Very competitive prices.

It’s a question worth asking.
To: AppyPappy
Yeah, now that I think of it, an illegal gun was the least of his worries while piling up a trunk full of bombs.

Whoops:
So "how" many other residents of that address on Patterson Ave. have been able to acquire VA drivers licenses and firearms and get them back to NY & NJ?

It mentioned several men outside and grass needing to be cut. Who were those men?
They may have been using it as a staging area away from surveillance.
Remember, these are not religious terrorists. They aren’t targeting Christians or trying to avoid killing Muslims.

Good question.
There is/used to be a White Supremacist community near Craig Healing Springs.

No. They are political terrorists. Their aim to is make us capitulate politically. They aren’t blowing up churches here.
