The House Science Committee is demanding interviews this week with employees of the IT firm that managed Hillary Clintons private email server.
Two of those employees, Paul Combetta and Bill Thornton, recently pleaded the Fifth Amendment when subpoenaed to testify about the server before the House Oversight Committee.
Science Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) had originally demanded transcribed interviews with seven Platte River Networks employees in July, but has been rebuffed. But Wednesday reports that Reddit users have uncovered a post by Combetta asking how to modify certain emails for a VERY VIP client have led Smith to demand the interviews be scheduled by Friday of this week.
If true, these details raise new questions as to whether Platte River Networks purposefully defied legal document retention requirements. Further, it is unclear if the Federal Bureau of Investigation was aware of these facts at the time of their investigation, Smith wrote in a letter sent Wednesday.
Additionally, I am concerned that Mr. Combetta may have made an attempt to delete relevant posts, including the post mentioned above, from his Reddit.com username just hours after reports initially surfaced on September 19, 2016, about his request for assistance on deleting email addresses from archived emails, Smith wrote.

this guy actually does a solid job explaining the Reddit story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icnrcb3j9fQ
She is too dumb to interview.
UBF2 Loretta Lynch will prosecute NO ONE connected with these crimes.
I don’t give a flying flip what these jackhole traitor GOP pricks do. Until they are ready to use the full force of Congress and start throwing these sacks of trash in jail, it won’t do a damn bit of good.
Pleading the Fifth AFTER being granted immunity should invalidate your immunity agreement.
You have nothing to worry about incriminating yourself.
In theory, once granted immunity for anything you say, you should spill your guts. Then they cannot prosecute you for anything.
Do I have this right?
When politicians or celebrities are involved the only justice that will bw dispensed is by wire transfer....
It all for show, the Republicans won’t do a damn thing.
Immunity from prosecution is one thing...there is no known immunity from Arkancide.
Also, immunity can be revoked if the person granted immunity refuses to answer questions or answers dishonestly.
If his immunity agreement is with the FBI (DOJ), it does not confer immunity against self-incrimination in testimony to Congress. That would require a separate agreement.
Consequently, he is within his rights to take the fifth in a Congressional proceeding.
Do I have this right?"
I guess to them it's like admit we're covering up for the administration or being assassinated somewhere in a park or some railroad tracks...
Does Congress have arrest powers? I thought they only had toothless subpoena powers.
Why even show up?
What are they going to do, get Trey Gowdy to say how upset he is?
Go Katica!
Like Watergate, the cover up is worse than the crime.
Revoke Stonetear’s immunity. I hope he sings like a canary.
This has legs.
You know we may be assuming too much, like the Congressional members are intelligent enough to follow all the bouncing balls to figure out what's going on. Might need to have them take IQ tests in the future because an inflated ego doesn't mean you are actually smarter than anyone else in the room (they obviously believe that though)
Gnats, The GOP ‘critters are gnats.
