My ancestors came to the US as immigrants and were vetted. If they had any communicable disease, no skills or belonged to any subversive groups they were sent back. They were expected to learn English and become Americans. My ancestors embraced these ideas and were proud to learn English and were thrilled to become citizens.

Today we are admitting people without any vetting...just dumping them off. We don't check for communicable disease, many have no skills and are illiterate in their own language. Above all many have no desire to become Americans or even learn English. Some especially Muslims see it as their goal to convert this country to Islam even using violence. This is just idiocy
