It used to be that the presidential nominee changed or could change the party chairmanship upon nomination. Trump didn’t do that this year: figured I guess that it would have upset the elites even more. Goldwater replaced William E. Miller, his running mate, with Dean Burch. Can anyone else think of a chairmanship that was changed after the nominee was chosen?
