It is a difference of words. Not of anything different but translation.
Some of the words in your translation were in my opinion better, clearer. Others were similar, but I’m not sure exactly the same.
Example: the “thousand thousand” reference for number killed instead of “million”. (Your version is clearer)
Example: the color of the breast plates, I’m not sure it is as simple as colors listed in your translation.
I just prefer KJV because it is what I grew up with. Neither is “better”. In some cases one is more clear than the other.
The way that US English is morphing today bothers me. Words should not take on new meaning by usage, but they do.
***Example: the color of the breast plates, Im not sure it is as simple as colors listed in your translation.***
I agree that seems too vague. I think the description of the breastplates are important and just naming colors to me is not enough detail.
However, my main reason for posting that verse is I personally get so angry and so disheartened by the fact that our leaders never seem to learn. I bookmarked that chapter because it tells you why they are never going to change. It’s helping me to realize not to get upset or be surprised. In fact it’s what we should be expecting.
It truly is in God’s hands.
