Interesting coincidence in fine amounts for 2 high profile government actions.

EU orders Apple to remit EU-computed back taxes to Ireland of $14billion computed back to the 1990s.

US authorities are targeting Deutsche Bank for a record $14 billion fine for misleading investors about the values and quality of complex mortgage-backed securities sold before the 2008 financial crisis.

Tit for tat?

This is potentially very significant.

This is a very important bank which happens to be in an awful state right now (google and check). This action may potentially bring it down and cause a worldwide recession...

Fascinating....particularly after the US bailed them out in 2008-2009 because of all the j tell king derivative exposure to US banks.

Fines shimes. Fines mean nothing. My question: how many of the slimy bastards that cause this mess are going to jail? Same at Wells Fargo. 5000+ employees fired because of fraud and no one’s going to jail? No one’s even accused?

Ridiculous!
