LOL! I heard that on F&F and was just going to look for the WP article. I loved Tucker’s comments earlier when he was talking about it - no one reads that paper anyway - hee hee.

Tucker also mentioned that he didn’t believe Hillary had pneumonia. I questioned it as well - diagnosed on Friday, didn’t start meds until Sunday and “powered through” to give speeches starting Thursday (IIRC). Tucker said his wife is a runner and very fit and when she had it, she was out for about 3 weeks.

I found the WaPo article. I didn’t read most of it (it’s rather long and I don’t care what they have to say). In scanning the pictures, there are maybe 1 or 2 outfits that Hill might be able to wear and she definitely couldn’t wear the shoes. I’m much thinner than Hill, but I wouldn’t want to wear most of them and definitely not the shoes (most are way too high and ugly).

If they had called Melania a Fashion Icon I could certainly get it, but Hill - puulleeese.

From the article:

“But beyond cut and color, designers are obsessing about strong and powerful women who are independent and enduring — perhaps even a bit scandalous. There has been talk of O’Keeffe, Germaine Greer, Gloria Steinem, influential mothers and grandmothers — and of course, Hillary Clinton.

The Democratic presidential nominee is, by no means, the typical fashion icon, not in the manner of an actress, a musician or even First Lady Michelle Obama. But it is hard to deny her influence, whether direct or indirect — on so many designers. The historic nature of her campaign is in the air; and much of Seventh Avenue has been quite clear about supporting her. Just before fashion week began, more than a dozen designers participated in a runway show-fundraiser for Clinton, that was co-hosted by Vogue’s Anna Wintour. Later in the week, as performer Rufus Wainwright was serenading guests at the Michael Kors show, he paused to declare: “I’m with her.”
