I’ve read it, and a couple of web articles.

As far as I can tell, they didn’t wear any tasteless costumes themselves; they merely stated their opinion that Yale shouldn’t officially censor what Halloween costumes the students could or couldn’t wear.

Did I miss something? Isn’t this a straight-up free speech case where the students are completely out of control? When I read the article, I thought that the Christakis couple must have dressed up in an in-your-face manner that many found offensive... for example, wearing a burned flag... or dressed as Muslim exececutioners. That doesn’t appear to be the case.

Snowflakes were offended by some costumes, and the professors sided with free speech, at least for Halloween.

Some months back. I stopped on a Sunday talking head under-the-radar-pick news segment, and one guy mentioned the couple parting ways with the caving school.

The professors were standing up for free speech. I haven’t been able to locate information relating to the couple being liberal junkies themselves. They were attacked by this mob of students because they had the gall to defend constitutional rights of other students.
