They prohibited Lorena because it made the reenactors homesick.

Do they play “Lorena?”

They didn't play "Lorena," but they did play a number of popular songs, including ""If Youve Only Got a Mustache" (1864), "Marching Through Georgi" (1865)and "The Telegraph Quick Step" (1858), which featured a telegraph key as a musical instrument. They also played "Dixie" and closed with "The Battle Hymn of the Republic."
