First, consider where the “poll” was taken.
Second, those who were “polled”. (My bet is they are mostly of Hispanic origin and have family and relatives still making their way to/across the border).

Right you are, more government cheese in Austin than any other place in Texas, although Houston being a close second, gives them a run for the money at times.
