I hate to say this about your friend... and I know people just like him- but it is that line of thought that is ruining our country.
Oh, I agree. However, this particular friend is VERY far left and is insane when it comes to hating Republicans. He makes an exception for me because we met and became close through non-political circles, and he chalks every political belief I have up to my being a practicing Catholic. (Yes, I know my being a Catholic's accounting for my being a conservative Republican makes no real sense — especially given the current Pope! — and I have told him this, but it is how he rationalizes being friends with me: he attributes my politics to something I cannot control, i.e., the religion into which I was born and, he believes, brainwashed.) My point is that, as lost as many people are in this country, most are not as moonbat lefty as this particular friend of mine.
