Because they were able to make it to the van they’ve been able to contain the narrative.

If they hadn’t made it to the van her candidacy would be over.

In either case her condition is the same, it’s just that in one case they managed to make a get away.

Her physical and cognitive capabilities are unreliable.

A person who can not recall briefings or who may at times be physically incapacitated is a person who can not fulfill the duties of office.

Also if she had made it a few feet further to the van or if it had arrived just as she did....there would be no video of her having collapsed anywhere in sight.

Sidewalk would have been better but curb at least led to some record of it. That video may someday be viewed as parallel to the blue dress.
