Oliver Stone: DNC Hack Was ‘Inside Job,’ Not Russia
The Daily Beast ^ | September 13th, 2016 | Unattributed

Posted on 09/13/2016 7:01:37 PM PDT by Mariner

During an interview with CNN's Christiane Amanpour on Tuesday, director Oliver Stone accused the Democratic National Committee of hacking itself. Asked by the host what he makes of the reports that Russian hackers breached the DNC's email server and fed information to WikiLeaks in an attempt to influence the U.S. presidential election, Stone called that idea a "great fiction." The director, currently promoting his biopic of Edward Snowden, said the intelligence experts he has spoken with indicated that the DNC hack was "probably an inside job." He went on to specify that he believed the hack was perpetrated by Democrats within the committee.

World Trade Center? Wall Street? Midnight Express? Heaven and Earth?

Never seen any of those, or JFK. Platoon is a fantasy-farce that had the gullible believing it all.

Totally agree, but it was a well-crafted film. But it’s retarded to call Stone a maker of B-movies. Dislike him, dislike his politics, but he makes big films, with big names, dealing with big topics.

Not exactly B movies.
Love Reagan in every way. Bedtime for Bonzo is a B-movie.

But it’s retarded to call Stone a maker of B-movies.

I can go along with that, as he does seem to have a following, which would belie the B- ratings...............

But then, that would be said of most movie makers other than Hitchcock, Kubrick, Ford, Lean, Peckinpah, Milius.

All those that appeal to my taste in film. Most gone now, and I no longer pay any attention to recent films.

He’s very talented, as is Tarantino.

The thing is, they are aware of their exceptional level of talent, and it turns into an all-consuming force with them. They think their talent makes them super-human, above normal people and the reality normal people must deal with.

They grant themselves license to not be constrained by any sort of duty to society, especially to think of the young and impressionable. It’s possible to make large amounts of money by making packaging lies and degradation in very enticing packages and selling it to whomever has money to pay, and that’s what they do.

The entertainment industry gives them many rewards in return, and that’s enough for them. Then they get older, and they begin to think of the consequences of the entertainment they’ve made.

Like Madonna. Made a few billion by confusing millions of young people. Now she lives in Europe so her kids won’t be poisoned by the culture she helped degrade.

Why not? It’s a very rich small country in the middle of a very nice area of Europe.
