Sabato is a lefty. Trump is doing increasingly well in the polls and the first debate hasn’t yet taken place. Yet he is acting like the election is hers.
His objectivity and credibility are dubious at best.

I saw that show also and thought the same.
The polls and pundits require the lie to go on because that is how they get paid.
If they used realistic D/R ratios in the polls Trump would be the clear winner and the need for the pundits would be over as no one would want to pay them.
On the one hand, a candidate has to campaign. Has to stage events with the public, press, travel, etc. The candidate has to be seen and people want to believe (and see) that their candidate has his/her stuff together and is a good leader.
They don't want to simply be told this by MSM outlets they increasingly believe are lying to them. The MSM's credibility, destroyed and non-existent with conservatives, is even eroding with the sheeple.
On the other hand (another side of the box/corner they're backed into) the 'rats know that the more Clinton is seen, the more her popularity and support declines. She is not a likable nor charismatic candidate or person.
Worse, she has numerous health issues. I've seen multiple very plausible and believable diagnosis offered all over the 'net by everyone from whack-jobs to real physicians. My takeaway: reasonably they can't all be right, but they can't all be wrong either. Just not very likely. What is most likely is she has several moderate to serious health issues with symptoms and side-effects (both from the issues and the treatments) that simply cannot be concealed during public appearances.
So their conundrum is: they need to get their candidate out there, not doing so hurts them. However getting their candidate out there also hurts them in different ways.
Most recently they seem to have been opting for the second approach - very limited public appearances. I believe that is in no small part because the more she is seen and her health problems become ever-more obvious and unconcealable the more their lies are unraveled. Disliking a candidate is one thing. Losing faith in the party and realizing you've been lied to and manipulated repeatedly is another. That will do significant long-term damage to the party. At some point the 'rats are going to have to abandon SS Hillary onto the shoals of her lies, scandals, and felonies else they stand to lose many of the faithful as their eyes are opened.

Everybody can relate to bringing a weak 80-year-old granny to an important family function like a wedding. That unsteady shuffling gait, the death grip with both hands for balance.
That photo tells it all. She’s way too weak to be POTUS.

Will she be able to stand? Will she have to wear her special anti-seizure goggles?
What if the bright lights and hard questions cause her to have a coughing/barking/head rolling “episode?”

If there are no further signs of illness, then very soon we will be severely lectured by unholy powers that be about our ridiculous exaggerations of her health condition.
Doubtless that is one reason Trump treads so lightly on this.
He wishes her well, hopes she gets back on the campaign trail and looks forward to the debates.
My guess is Trump is talking to doctors about her condition and what might happen in a very vigorous debate.

Without a doubt. She doesn’t have the physical stamina nor can she withstand the stress.
If she gets elected somehow, Putin is going to have a field day with her & her weak mental/physical condition. He won’t be impressed that she’s the “first woman president” just as he’s totally not impressed with the “such a child” first black president.
I hope that someone in the debate audience flashes a strobe light at her. Maybe it could trigger a seizure. Just don’t do this on the first debate, then they might replace Hillary with Biden. Do it when there is no time for a new candidate to take her place.

The author is a sexist and all who read this column are as well. Everyone knows that Hillary is the HEALTHIEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD! And she is just doing what any woman does when she is sick, she brushes it aside and keeps on working. Stoddard arguing on Megyn’s show that the only people who would be offended by the “basket iof deplorables” comments would be those that are hardcore Trump supporters already. I totally disagree. There are people who are not Ttrump supporters but know good, patriotic, hard-working people who are—friends, family, neighbors, co-workers. I doubt they will take kindly to them being referred to as a “basket of deplorables”” by that lying, elitist witch. If A.B. Stoddard would take a step out of their elitist, left-wing bubble, she’d realize this.
