It must have tested well with focus groups, because the Hillary Clinton campaign had one line it wanted to get out on Monday: Hillary Clinton was trying to power through her illness this weekend.
Spokespeople Brian Fallon, Robby Mook and Kristina Schake all repeated the talking point ad nauseam in their cable appearances on Monday. The media picked it up as well, with reporters on CNN and MSNBC using the phrase to describe how Hillary Clinton bravely reacted to a pneumonia diagnosis on Friday.

Hell yeah, she’s OK. She is probably kicked back in her teddy, with a bottle of jack resting for a few days and catching up on Free Republic posts.
Well “power through” does come across better than “lie about” - unfortunately, they’re not synonymous, and only one is really true (unless one considers that picture of her staggering up a set of stairs assisted by people on both sides as “powering through”).
She sure powered through the 9/11 ceremony with her campaign lies. Hillary, personally, did not power through as she ran completely ran out of that commodity!
Somebody has to get that Commercial for the Whooping Cough Vaccine and put Hillary’s Head on the Grandmother coughing all over her Grandchild.

Sometime in the next week or two, there’ll be Hillary’s smiling face on the cover of People Magazine - along with a pure powderpuff piece about her triumph over illness.
The typical American voter (and that includes many women voters - yes, I’m stereotyping a bit) will eat this up like there’s no tomorrow.

This is the third story I’ve seen today with it
She’s due on Jimmy Fallon next week...I’m sure we will hear humanizing stories about how Bill helped her through it, blah, blah.
This is actually the best case scenario for Trump.
She is now known to be a weakened candidate. If she gets sick again too soon, she will be replaced. If she comes across really strong at the debates, it just means that the next illness is just around the corner.
Trump should gently remind her that she is looking better. It's kind and polite, and reminds everyone that she is just one more episode away from being sick again.
You may be right about voters eating it up. But she will suffer another faceplant, this time with the asphalt or the lectern. Sooner or later.
Her declining health combined with the Deplorables unforced error is going to hurt even worse than the asphalt nap.
