Go look at journals like Time and NewsWeak....no one reads anymore.
Go look at the WaPo and New York Times...they are barely surviving and require infusion of outside funds to make it.
Go look at CNN and MSNBC....neither is doing well in viewers, and profits are dismal.
Go look at premier shows like Sixty Minutes, which no one takes serious any more.
For some stupid moderator to think Trump is some fake and they can twist something around and make him look foolish....at any given second, Trump could flash a “go-to-jail” card at some moderator and suddenly it’s the moderator who is being put up for a dog-and-pony show.
Debates used to be debates....it’s no longer the case, they are simply a show....reality TV. It’s been that way since the 1960s.
The debates, at least in my lifetime have never been debates in the purest sense of the word. They have been a concerted effort to discredit and destroy the republican candidate, and little more.
There is no substantive questioning of the democRAT. The are given softballs, or allowed to dodge the question. The republican is grilled, and challenged of every point, and any assertion.
They are little more than a WWF wrestling match. THe outcome is predetermined, and the storyline is to make the dmeocRAT, no matter how detestable, look presentable, and the republican look insane.
