We had a woman like that at our university back in the 70’s.
She made the mistake of pissing off a few guys, that then became a few hundred, and then grew to almost all the guys on campus. Her home was on the campus. Her life became living hell as every night the guys would get drunk, and on the way home they would stop and sing in front of her house....
The songs were about her and made fun of her.
She announced her resignation and left the university.
