Cruz is the establishment—he is not fighting them at all.
His job is to make you think he is.

That is Cruz’s home turf. How is the lower Rio Grande valley acting, how about NE Texas,
West Texas plains, etc. Generally once elected it’s hard to defeat that candidate but I’m not
sure that if the right opponent comes forward that Cruz will be looking for another job. I
have no idea who the right candidate may be but I suspect there is one out there that can
capitalize on Cruz’s actions todate.

Well, I’ll probably vote for both of them.
Depends, of course, on who is running and for what.
A little tension and disagreement is healthier than a choir that sings together off-key.
I hate the NeverTrumpers at Redstate etc and I don’t like what Cruz did in Colorado or the Convention, but I can’t bring myself to saying that he shouldn’t be a senator.
And.....
Just an overhead and disparate comment or was it meant to assuage the disgust so many of us have for Cruz these days?
