SPECIAL PRESENTATION

This presentation is both musical and patriotic, in commemoration of 09/11/2016:

The below video was the result of an impromptu, jam session at a guitar camp in the Catskills of New York state last week. The camp was presented by Mr. Robben Ford. Mr. Ford has played with Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Joni Mitchell, George Harrison and other well-known musicians. Mr. Ford is also an accomplished Blues solo artist.

Here is a photo of two of the teachers and the student:

Left to right: Mr. Jeffrey McErlain, Mr. Frank Frombach and Mr. Robben Ford.

Mr. McErlain resides in New York and gives online guitar lessons.

Other teachers at the camp were Mr. Hari Ganglberger, on drums in the video, and Mr. Kip Reed, is the bassist in the video.

All of the links below will open in a new window:

The video is not a complete song; it is only a clip because it is a private video not for reposting to social media. This video is for our troops, veterans, and Canteen family, so that we can't show more than a clip however the Full video will be up at Mr. Robben Ford's camp website in the near future along with introductions to all the rest of the people who attended the camp.

The gentleman playing the slide-guitar and singing is a born-and-raised Texan who now resides in Conroe. He paid for only a few guitar lessons from Mr. Paul Chester but these were not 'formal' nor ongoing guitar lessons. He absorbed other 'tips' and advice from other guitarists. Otherwise, he is totally self-taught. He took zero voice lessons. He reads music. Those, in and of themselves, are quite awe-inspiring accomplishments. His most influential 'tipster' is/was Mr. Kenneth Cordray who had written the song, "Francine" for ZZTop. As well, Mr. Frombach does all of the mixing, instrumentals, singing, chorus and engineering at the studio in his home. Mr. Frombach's most recent accomplishment is that he has played for "The Lone Star Veteran's Group" in Conroe, Texas. He hopes to be able to continue to have an association with them.

Here is a link to the video!

Here are various links to some of Mr. Frombach's other music and other links of interest:

Here is a link to Mr. Ford's site.

Here is a link to Mr. Ganglberger's site

I Was Born Free ( This is a patriotic song. ) Mr. Frombach assures me that he will make a better recording of this song and advise me after he has done so. This is the demo version.

American Hero is yet another patriotic song which was written by Mr. William 'Bill' Scholwin and performed by Mr. Frank Frombach. Mr. Scholwin is a veteran living in Montgomery, Texas which is just to the West of Conroe, Texas.
