In a September 1 CBC TV interview, Ramzan Kadyrov, President of the Chechen Republic, rejected claims that he was a dictator. If you show my photo to any Chechen child, he will say: "That's Ramzan, and I love him," said Kadyrov, adding: "Indeed, I am dictatorial against Europe and the kharijites of our age." Noting that the wars have led to an imbalance in the female-male ratio in his country, Kadyrov called upon Chechens to practice polygamy, saying that otherwise, "where will these poor girls go?"

When he talks about "the kharijites of our age," he is referring to ISIS. The original kharijites lived in the early days of Islam, and believed that the way to settle upon who should be an imam was in battle, because Allah would decide who wins the battle.

This was supposed to be the original reason why Muhammad allowed Muslim men to have up to four wives: it was in situations where wars had decimated the male population, and single women were of course incapable of taking care of themselves. (No, I'm not suggesting it's a good idea.) That polygamy in Islam has morphed into something else is a testament to our sinful nature.

You mean the same people who gunned down school children? Yea, kiss my hairy white arse....
You and your people are animals, not worthy of dogs to mount.
Utter nonsense. Polygamy was practised in the area loooong before there was a so called prophet
It is ancient. It is not very useful in a modern NT world..
I don’t know. If you can’t find a man who wants to have children then perhaps it makes sense for women who do want children to share one of those rare men these days who wants to have a large family.
No.....
satan is walking the Earth, and it’s rather discouraging that he appears to be so large and in charge. Trying times, these.
