As an FBI agent who specialized in counter-terrorism, John P. ONeill investigated the bombing of the American embassies in Africa, the USS Cole in Yemen, the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia, and the first attack on the World Trade Center. ONeill came to believe America should kill Osama bin Laden before Al Qaeda launched a devastating attack, but his was often a lonely voice. A controversial figure inside the buttoned-down world of the FBI, he was forced out of the job he loved and entered the private sector as director of security for the World Trade Center.
A must see.
Do you have a contact / viewing source ?
Does it turn out to be a “Bush did it!” thing? If so, I’ll pass. Otherwise, it looks good since John O’Neill was killed in the 9/11 attacks and did his best to try to stop terrorists from being able to commit just such a heinous crime.

You should be able to watch at the PBS link above. If not, it’s on Youtube:

I remember this.......RIP Mr. O’Neill.......;(
No BDS in this production from my perspective. O’Neill, the others in the Towers, on Flight 93 and in the Pentagon were all killed by bureaucratic inertia. This production highlights that very well, IMO.
Another good source on this subject is the book “The man Who Warned America” by Murray Weiss.

John O’Neill was absolutely right about Bin Laden. But as you read the book, he was in a few ways, his own worst enemy with his drinking, carelessness w/govt property and womanizing. None of those things endeared him to his superiors at the FBI and Justice.
But a large share of the blame has to be given at the Clinton Administration and their handling of terror-related matters back in the 90’s.
Thanks, I’ll give it a looksee. I didn’t want to get 3/4 of the way in only to get a BDS tirade. (PBS, y’know).
Does it get into the FBI agent in Minneapolis who tried to get some attention re:the would-be 9/11 hijacker?
No. Ties it to the Saudis.
Find out what brand of whisky he drank and send a barrel of it to all the other commanders.
read ‘Dereliction of Duty’.
they knew about the plans to hit the towers in 1996.
klintons are traitors. Worse than the Rosenbergs.
Also stories they knew about the OKC bombing and facilitated it. Then blamed Rush Limbaugh and Republicans.
Another great book about a 9/11 hero is Heart of A Soldier. It’s about Rick Rescorla, head of security for, IIRC, Cantor Fitzgerald. Highly recommended reading!!
Actually Rescorla worked for Morgan Stanley, not Cantor Fitzgerald..my mistake.
Yes, the flight school info was briefly covered as material that was gathered in the process of understanding group connections. O’Neill was right in the middle of this while in DC FBI HQ. My local PBS showed this entire piece on one of their late night digital channels while I was up due to allergies just this week.
Thanks again, I d/l it from Youtube to watch later. Sounds interesting.
i read the third man on the ock.
bbb
Thanks bump.
