I'm not on Twitter - yet.

But I'm thinking about it... :)

You don’t have to do anything much on Twitter. You can use it rather than “curate a feed.” Just search simply (you don’t even need a hashtag when you search! Searching Hillary will get you all the same tweets as #Hillary , for example) and check the Top Tweets to see the most liked, All Tweets to stick to the most recent.

For instance, if there was a terrorist attack or a natural disaster in Blabla City, search Blabla City. And the cool thing is that under All Tweets, you will see amazing first tweets from people right there as it is happening. You will see tweets in all languages. I love this instant world wide connection when something is going on.

Another great way to use Twitter is to search what you are watching. Maybe you are watching a new episode or new show. You want to see real time reviews, how are others liking this? Search for it and see. Maybe you are watching a sports game, and did anyone else see what that ref missed?? Is he blind?? So you search it on Twitter and see that others noticed the same thing. Of course it’s huge for seeing how people are responding to debates or political events.

If you want your funny bone tickled, you may see a list of what is trending, and some are funny #hashtags that might amuse you to click on and read. The other day there was one called #hackingHillary.

Twitter is a pretty huge swath of society. Lots of active conservatives, but lots of really dumb libs.

Unless it is important for your industry, you don’t need to “curate a feed” and follow people. I’m too busy and I don’t want to waste time scrolling a bunch of crap. I LOVE Twitter even if I only search something two times a week. It’s a great connection device if you use IT rather than it using YOU.
