Chuck Ross isn't really with it, is he?

He's a reporter. He could have called a tier one help desk jockey at Blackberry, or Samsung, Microsoft or Apple for that matter. Besides not knowing if there is already malware/tracking on the unit, older units no longer supported by the manufacturer have vulnerabilities that cannot be patched. OK for home users, NOT OK for enterprise.

Yeah we wouldn’t even allow those to be used in a corporate environment, much less a government one!
