A coin toss has determined that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will go first during Wednesday evening's Commander in Chief forum, hosted by the IAVA (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America) and airing on NBC and MSNBC.
Clinton will take questions from moderator Matt Lauer and members of the audience -- which will largely be comprised of veterans and active service members -- for 30 minutes before Donald Trump takes the stage.
Both candidates stated a preference to be the second candidate to appear.
Dafna Linzer, managing editor for NBC News and MSNBC, performed the coin toss.
The event -- which marks the first time Clinton and Trump will be on the same stage, albeit not at the same time -- will be simulcast live on both networks at 8 p.m. ET.
Won what? The media is not the final judge for who won.
The people will decide when they vote. Most people dislike the news media more than the candidates.
She had the game rigged for her and she still looked confused and rattled. Putin and the Chinese leadership will have her reduced to jello in any summit or negotiation.
It’s possible Comcast screwed up the on screen schedule and it comes on an hour from now.
Go Trump. :)
What makes Lauer the expert? He looks like someone who does not know the daytime from night time. He does not sound objective or informed. He sounds like a rehearsed robot who wants Hillary to win, regardless of the damage it does to our country.
Trump got in a few good digs at obama and how Hillary and how she deleted her email after the subpoena. I think it resonated. He got a bigger round of applause at the end than hillary did.
Isn’t Hillary on double medications these days? She may be hallucinating and has popped blood vessels in her head from the endless spells of hacking cough.
The POS makes $28 million a year. Obviously he’s the Devil’s butt boy.
He said it is a big problem with no consequences -- people can't get justice and their cases are ignored, and there has to be a special court within the military to take it seriously and handle it. Also then Matt read a tweet Donald had written years ago about military rape "What did these geniuses think was going to happen when they put men and women together?" Matt was extremely disdainful and acted like this tweet meant Trump would take women out of the miltary.
Trump said no, the tweet did not mean taking women out, and he did not back down -- he said "a lot of people agree with my point of view." (He is awesome not backing down!) And then repeated that it is a horrendous crime and must have consequences, unlike now. Totally smashed Matt.
What nobody addressed is the rape of male troops, which is a terrible problem, too. Just as well they didn't get sidetracked into it. The questioner had asked on behalf of his daughter.
Trump was also very cordial to every questioner.
Trump did not hurt himself tonight. He was cool and calm.
He figures if Hillary is sinking in the polls, let her sink or swim.
you do realize that I’m being factious...
Not concerned here he handled very well every single arrow that was threw to him.
His voice was like broken glass when he talked AT Trump. What a jerk. So unprofessional.
I watched on YouTube, and their comment section was moving so fast, you literally could not read it. Vast majority of comments you could make out were favorable to Trump -- like "Trump 2016" and TRUMP with a flag or a heart, etc. So lots of people were on there watching.
The media will always be in the bag for Hillary, regardless if she breaks the law millions of times. They are all afraid Trump will upset the apple cart. He has already exposed many of the lies by being on the national stage everyday. He is running rings around her. None of these people can keep up with how popular his campaign has become.
All the media has been wrong about Trump over and over again. The people are seeing through the lies and bias which is called journalism and the news.
Megan Kelly is having a meltdown on Fox; it’s great CNN is spinning like a top!
They know he won.
“Trump did not hurt himself tonight. He was cool and calm.
He figures if Hillary is sinking in the polls, let her sink or swim.”
Matt Lauer should have stated up front that he was a member of the Clinton Foundation.
Trump looked more Presidential than Hillary tonight. He looked good on camera. In fact, he was easier to look at than Hillary or Matt. The both did not act in a natural way tonight. They looked rehearsed and worried about Trump maybe winning the election in large numbers. Hillary wants someone to rescue her from her sinking polls. She even bought a jet to cart her news media supporters around so she can wine and dine in the air. No tough questions from her news media cheerleaders!
I have seen that. This is fixen to be a slaughter of hillary. She was horrible!!
Matt has some magic google app that places quotes directly related the question on his gotcha Trump sheet of music right in his hands. Damn the technology these days.
