No doubt what you are saying is true. The 1965 Act has added to the left’s numbers and makes it more difficult to defeat them.
But.....the ones who really, really confound me and whom I believe are really the problem are the ones who should know better. Almost all of the leftists I know who are voting for Hillary are not, or have been, immigrants. Nor do they fit any of the template of the Hillary voter we imagine (welfare, free stuff, minority, immigrant, etc, etc)
No they have all been born in America, work at jobs (and not a professor though there are those also) either blue or white collar, many are married and/or have kids, have college degrees if not higher, young and old, not minority, etc, etc.
But they have their stupid I’m with Hillary stickers on their cars or Clinton/Kaine signs in their yards. And not only voting for Hillary out of ignorance (though there is a lot of that) but with zeal and will defend her with all their gusto. If most of these idiots wouldn’t vote for Hillary, Trump would probably easily win.

This gargantuan collection of words should be boiled down to “Stopping illegal immigration is the key to solving most of our problems: crime, welfarism, higher taxes, terrorism, declining education and health care” If this is not done the war is lost and even IF it is done the battle will be long and hard since, as you say, the problem is the electorate. This was the reason that it was greatly restricted during the early days of the republic. It should be noted, however, that the most anti-American group of voters is single women most others do vote Republican.
