One of Germany’s best-known Islamist preachers went on trial in the western city of Düsseldorf on Tuesday on charges of backing “a terrorist group” fighting in Syria.

Sven Lau, 35, stands accused of supporting and recruiting fighters for the Syria-based Jaish al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar (JMA), or Army of Emigrants and Supporters, which Germany lists as a terrorist organization.

He actually was a German, born in West Germany (in the old days). Grew up in a Catholic family....was an industrial mechanic. Converted sometime in his mid-20’s if I remember the story correctly. Calls himself Abu.

Made up some kind of fake club out of thin air....related to Sadafist and hate-preaching (as the German cops refer to it).

At some point in 2014, he made up some Sharia-Law “police-unit” with yellow warning vests....and tried to walk the pub district to encourage Muslims to avoid drinking or carousing. That got the cop’s attention and they finally sat up charges on the guy. If you read through his history and drama....the guy is mentally challenged and at some point....some judge is probably going to mandate that he gets a mental evaluation, and he might be permanently set up in a facility.
