Poll: "Nine weeks out, a near even race"
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton start the race to November 8 on essentially even ground, with Trump edging Clinton by a scant two points among likely voters, and the contest sparking sharp divisions along demographic lines in a new CNN/ORC Poll.
Trump tops Clinton 45% to 43% in the new survey, with Libertarian Gary Johnson standing at 7% among likely voters in this poll and the Green Party's Jill Stein at just 2%.

Those Maine numbers are pretty spectacular. Romney lost the state by 15 points.
Or you know when... ;-) Anyway, he was manufactured by the MSM to pull votes from Trump and he’s hurting Hillary more so they’ll drop him like a hot potato.
Its back to a traditional 2 party race.
I want Trump to win all fifty states....but, I will be realistic and pragmatic, and will settle for a forty-eight (48) state win, just leaving out Hawaii & California!!!
Support & vote for Donald J. Trump for POTUS!!!
90% of Republicans? They’ve come home to Trump!
More exactly, now that Trump looks like he’s going to win, people are flocking to the strong horse.
Hillary will win ten to twelve states.
I’ll settle for a 35-to 40 state sweep. Doable.
The other 10% makes me want to buy stock in the manufacturer of Thorazine, because it will be in great need beginning the night of the 8th...
Devastating for the #NeverTrumpers.
They look p*ssed because they were expecting a Trump wipeout.
Instead, its reversed 180 degrees. Talk about CW.
My champagne will be on ice until approx. 9pm ET on November 8th.
In the meantime, I’m liking the trend and that even the biased media aren’t able to doctor their polls enough to put the coughing witch in the lead over the Labor Day weekend. I would think it’s safe to say that Trump’s actual lead is understated by 3-5 points
“Romney lost the state by 15 points.”
This CNN poll had Obama beating Romney by 6 points on September 10, 2012:

Trump will do much better than Romney everywhere.
Where is the Goldstar family when she needs them most?
Yep, voters get more focused and pragmatic after Labor Day
Hillary’s poor health and lack of stamina is killing her bid as much as her scandals are dragging her down. A generic Democrat should be running away with this race.
Not the Witch Of Chappaqua.
VA...OH...FL...NH...NC...and maybe one or two others
Keep the viagra away from him
For the last decade, the popular vote gap in many Blue States has been narrowing with each presidential election cycle.
Hillary’s fabled Blue State firewall looks set to disintegrate.
The only question left is what Blue State will turn Red first on November 8.
Romney had the support of 93% of Republican voters in 2012. He also only won Independents by 16% (Trump is at 20% so far). Hopefully Trump can stay on message and make strategic inroads like last week with the Mexico visit and Detroit black church visit. If so, he can increase his support among Republican voters from his current 90%.

I firmly believe that the “never Trumpers” will vote Trump after all when they get behind the curtain on Nov 8. Many of them will never admit they were wrong but that’s okay by me so long as they do the right thing on Election Day.
As for Gary Johnson, I predict he gets less than two percent of the vote. I wouldn’t know Gary Johnson if he bumped into me on the street. The last third party candidate to do somewhat well was Ross Perot and he was a household name.
Jill Stein might pull more votes than Johnson because she provides a viable alternative for jilted Bernie supporters.
Look for that list to grow to include more states that went blue in 2012.
Trump is running a positive campaign and is leaving the mudslinging to his opponent.
That’s exactly what he needs to do. He’s focused, disciplined and has his eyes firmly fixed on the prize.
And we’re 62 days out from the election - and early voting begins in a week.
We’ll need that 10 point lead just to offset the rampant voter fraud.
