Polls will really change when the start polling likely voters and not just registered

Do they poll people with cell phones???

Most people with cell phones never answer.. it just goes to leave a message

Maybe they just poll the same people over and over

I never answer a call to my cell phone from a number with which I am not familar. I look it up & add it my never-ending blocked list.

Yes, I don’t know how pollsters can even conduct traditional surveys these days.
I’m one of the few people who only has one landline and no cell phone. Except to run errands or go to medical appointments, I am home most of the time and have no need for a cell phone.
My phone company only publishes yellow business pages, no more residential landline directories.
I gather pollsters solicit voter registration lists, which must include cell numbers of current active voters.
This seems, to me, that this is the only means by which polling companies can reasonably expect to contact people as landlines are disappearing.
Moreover, this only would reflect voters who have voted before and not take into consideration newly registered ones.
Finally, Trump has brought in so so many never-before voters who have never participated and therefore are impossible to calculate in any honest survey.
BTW, many times when I call someone, it immediately goes to voice mail and I understand that many polls require the respondent to stay on the phone for as long as an hour.

If Trump gets blown out in Ohio, which I think is unlikely, then Kasich’s career remains damaged but remediable.

If Trump loses Ohio by a very narrow margin, Kasich will take the blame for installing Hillary Clinton as president. His career as a Republican will be over but he will obviously be celebrated in some quarters for precisely this result, including places like National Review and all Democrats.

If Trump loses Trump wins Ohio, even by a narrow margin, Kasich will look like the dumbest arse in the history of politics. This would make Trump’s victory there so much sweeter!
