And the pledge of allegiance was written by a socialist, should we stop saying that too?

It’s always important to know the true history of any subject.

Knowing the origins of Labor Day and the pledge of allegiance will not interfere with my family celebrating the blessing of work and those who do honest toil, or honoring the symbol of our Nation and her citizens.

Wisdom requires that we seek underlying motives and ascertain their effects. But we can also remind ourselves that sometimes what others meant for evil, God uses for good.

I agree.

The labor movement accomplished some very good things in the late 19th century and early 20th. That the good turned into evil is the way of the world. I still celebrate Labor Day because America, despite Obama, is an industrious country filled with hardworking people.
