Our little country church has been using this verse as our call to worship Sind July. Mike Pence uses it to ask for prayer
2 Chronicles 7:14King James Version (KJV)
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Now be very careful that this does NOT translate over to ANY secular country, and the arrogance of trying to do that will only blow up in its face. American Christians took that attitude too often in the past, and the result was to backslide.
The model is different now. The church is being told to keep up its supply of salt and light, which will then preserve and illuminate the world. The analogy carries straight over from the nation of Israel to the church... not from the nation of Israel to the secular land of America.
