Lying to the FBI is what got Scooter Libby indicted, convicted and sentenced. It took a Presidential pardon to keep him out of jail.
Here’s the kicker: the FBI knew BEFORE they questioned Libby who the source of the leak was - Richard Armitage. Yet, they continued the search and ruined an innocent man.
Today, they are protecting a woman who could not tell the truth if her life depended on it.

Unfortunately, the innocent man Scooter Libby did NOT get a presidential pardon. Bush refused to pardon Libby, which appalled Cheney.
Bush did not fully pardon him, he only commuted his sentence. Scooter continued to be under supervised release, paid a huge fine, and did 400 hrs of community service. For doing NOTHING.
