Former GOP Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger, George Shultz decline Hillary Clinton endorsement

So much for that Clinton endorsement.

Former Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger and George Shultz announced they won't be endorsing Hillary Clinton afterall Friday afternoon, just hours after Shultz said he was pushing his fellow Republican gray-hair to back the Democratic nominee.

"We are not making any endorsement in the current presidential election," the pair said in a joint statement Friday afternoon. "We are dedicated to fostering a bipartisan foreign policy and we will devote ourselves to this effort now and after the election."

That comes just hours after a report was published that showed Shultz and Kissinger were mulling an endorsement soon.

"We are going to do it together," Shultz told Politico. "It will have more impact."

Shultz, who served in the Nixon and Reagan administrations, praised Clinton for her "deep knowledge of Mexico" and took a swipe at Trump, who he's been highly critical of throughout the campaign.

"When the next president takes office, if he or she turns inwards, the chaos will only develop more," Shultz said. "There is no substitute for the United States."

The lack of an endorsement is still notable — it's rare in modern politics for top policymakers not to back their party's nominee. Both Kissinger and Shultz have been critical of Trump in the past and have praised Clinton.

The results of Clinton's tenure as Secretary of State:

Those countries that liked us, now look at us with suspicion.
Those countries that tolerated us, now hate us.
Those countries that hated us, successfully made moves to hasten our demise.

Nice body of work.

If they thought she could win, they would endorse her. That they didn’t says volumes.

The globalists are not going to allow the citizens to keep their country.
They were able to nominate an amnesty candidate in every election since the last amnesty, effectively blocking the citizens from stopping the illegal alien inundation.
They are not about to let us reverse 30 years of bipartisan policy of non-enforcement of immigration laws.

They will continue the drip, drip, drip of a few Republican appointees every week. There have been over 100 so far. Henr Kissinger is the latest.

Look for Yeb! and W. to endorse the wicked witch of Chappaqua if she’s losing badly.

Kissinger and Schultz are entitled to whatever positions/opinions they have. It’s irrelevant. Who really cares? I generally put anyone in politics at least one level below the average norm in society in terms of talent, knowledge, and credibility. Generally, that’s more than they deserve.

I suspect they have been lent on and told their endorsements will do more harm to Hellary than good.

Make no mistake, these two are on the side of the Establishment. Kissinger was never on the side of the people and was one of Nixon’s biggest mistakes as President.

Shultz ... praised Clinton for her "deep knowledge of Mexico"

Seriously, where is the evidence of that?

Has she written anything on the topic? Gave a detailed policy speech? I honestly can't remember her ever talking about Mexico, but then I don't get all the info, living up here.

It sounds like just another lie.

How many votes would a Kissinger endorsment bring to Clinton?

Kudos to these Republicans. They are smarter than the 50 or so so-called Defense/Security “consultants” who said they will not vote for Trump.

Here is the bottomline: This Woman (hear me roar) is too damn stupid to be POTUS. Many including, Jacka$$ Chris Wallace, claim she had to act dumb to avoid criminal charges. My response, if she is so damned smart, she wouldn't have gotten herself in this mess to begin with. So, I reiterate, THIS WOMAN IS TOO DAMN STUPID TO BE POTUS.

The language of this non-endorsement shows how pervasive the corruption in Washington has been for generations. How they could even consider and endorsement of the most corrupt, unqualified an incompetent Secretary of State we’ve ever had is beyond explanation other than complicity in corruption.
