I think he’s got guaranteed money, and a guaranteed payout if he gets hurt...for 1 more year. They’ll probably keep him on the roster as a backup, but only play him in the direst of emergency, to avoid the injury payout. This effectively steals a year of his career from him...but its what the players get when their union pushes for guaranteed injury payouts.
Then he’ll be a free agent, with a checkered past and not many good years left - in other words a Raiders prospect.
