His cars catch fire and his rockets explode... Looks like the shine of Elon Musk’s dreams, is starting to tarnish with each passing day. I think it’s just a matter of time before he’s exposed as being a fraudster and crook. He’ll likely be conveniently out of the country when the police come a knocking.

Maybe they already have it. They could be well off. It looks like they’re eating pretty well, from your photo!

LOL. You’re well along to curing what ails you - you know thyself. Few of us are that honest.

A. Sabotage
B. Metal/materials fatigue resulting from RE-USING a previously launched booster stage.

My source says that the rocket didn’t fail, it was a consequence of a pad fire.
Scuttlebutt for now

Payload was Israel spy satellite. Lost. Nothing to see here. Move along...

The media is reporting that the satellite was only Israeli made, it was actually owned by Facebook and was to provide Internet service in Africa, so I doubt it was terrorism, unless it was a really dumb terrorist who didn't realize that Israeli already got their money from Facebook and will now likely get another payout from the insurance company to build a second satellite. Or unless it wasn't really made to provide internet service to Africa.
After all, who ya gonna believe - Zuckerberg? Lol!

A. SabotageB. Metal/materials fatigue resulting from RE-USING a previously launched booster stage.
That is exactly my sequence of presumption as to the cause of the explosion, with material failure being a distant second.

WRONG. This was a new rocket.
To: DiogenesLamp
Watch the vid, it was just fueling up. No fatigue did that. It goes about a minute into the vid. No stress, a new rocket, very odd.
To: NonValueAdded
I guess the Rocket didn’t care much for the stench of the Fluckerberg payload. Suicide by explosion.

I cannot help but feel this has everything to do with who the customer is.

Looks to me like it's the same point of failure they had last year near the second stage oxygen tank. I wonder if a crew could have survived with the escape system.

FWIW, that steel gantry was smack in the middle of the shockwave and then the rocket fuel flamed up inside it the whole time as a burning fireball - and it didn't melt.
Just sayin'...
