Cruz lost all rights to be called a good guy, or honorable, or principled when he broke his pledge to support Trump. You can't be both an American patriot and a man so hurt that you throw your word and your integrity out the window because you lost. With a patriot the country always comes first and Cruz's reasons for breaking his word were about personal slights he'd received.
Worse, Cruz appears to be actively working to get Hillary elected either because he hates Trump, or cut a deal with the Dems, or think it's his best chance to win in 2020. If Cruz changes his tune and starts supporting Trump then and only then will I and lot of other people view him as anything other than a rat, but not before. He made a pledge and he needs to honor it.
As Cruz said before, I hope people will “vote their conscience” when he is up for re-election.
