that doesn’t figure in the vast spectrum of violent crime.

Yes, I am serious. Just how many black people do you know? My response was in regards to someone else broadly generalizing that all black people are bad and all black people are to be avoided. That in itself is a racist comment. Can you acknowledge that? Hitler applied a broad brush to all Jews, that they should all be exterminated. That was a racist generalization. Why should someone be punished because of a generalization about the color of their skin and not by their individual actions? You need to rethink you thought processes on this matter.
I asked how many black people do you know. Have you ever been victimized by blacks? Well, I have. I've been attacked by groups of blacks. I've been beat up by blacks. I've been robbed by blacks. I've had blacks pointing a gun at my face in anger. However, I don't hold it against all blacks I encounter. I grew up on a block one-third populated by blacks. They were my neighbors next door and across the street, and I grew up playing with their kids. Same goes for my schools. I played with black friends in a high-rise projects nearby. Some of my best friends were black. I went to a picnic of a couple hundred blacks and I was the only white person there. I have had black bosses, and I've been a manager of teams half of which were black workers. You can't paint them with a broad brush.
I agree that blacks in the ghetto are a problem. And they do account for a lot of crime. However, there are a great many decent blacks, far more than the troublemakers. There are bad white people who commit a lot of crimes, while there are more white people who are decent. In any race, the troublemakers get a lot of notice. Don't judge all blacks based on the crimes happening in the ghettos.
