The race for the presidency is heating up as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump both try to dismantle each others credibility. This time it is a rumor from the 90s that is haunting the Clinton campaign.
The rumor states that shortly after her husband took office, Clinton made disparaging remarks about nurses. She allegedly referred to them as glorified baby sitters or under-educated, overpaid maids.
Despite the lack of evidence supporting the authenticity of the statement, it has proved very difficult to quell. Even after a decade, the rumor has continued to be a blight to her career. Quote Still Haunting Hillary Clinton
According to Snopes, accusations continued well over into the 2000s. It has also accompanied her every time the she bids for political office. Like us on Facebook
Back in February of 2008, the alleged quote once again reared its ugly head. In a message to AllNurses, a user inquired regarding her statement about nurses being glorified babysitters.
The inquiry was revealed to be a last resort in finding information regarding the matter after searching the web to no avail. For her sake, the user hopes that the rumor is proved to be false, as nurses comprise a large voting population.
In every case where the authenticity of the rumor is challenged, many people claim that they distinctly remember her saying such statements. However, when asked to provide concrete evidence, they simply reason out that the statement was made in the 90s when information was not readily available.
The rumor once again appeared on the same forum last month. This time it claimed that Mrs. Clinton called nurses overpaid and nothing but doctors handmaidens.
This month even saw an image of a message from a friend nurse making rounds on social media. It suggests that people reconsider voting for Clinton due to her disparaging statements.
Despite this, the American Nurses Association has put their support behind Hillary Clinton as they did back in 2008. It is still unclear whether her opponent Donald Trump will make use of the allegations come the debates.
Unless a tape of her words surfaces this isn’t going anywhere.
Let’s be honest, it could be made up. Probably true but verify.
But still the huge majority of the nurses I worked with for years will vote for her.
“Secretary of State is an overpaid fax machine with a over abundance of self importance”
Maybe she’d better keep that EpiPen in her own purse...
I’m sure she only meant the uneducated white nurses.
ALl I can say is....when that b*tch needs someone to jump-start her heart...I will be happy to do it, after I have gone on my coffee break!
I was a resident in the late 90s when she said it.
I was doing my ICU rotation at the time.
A black female nurse came up to me and said: "I really dislike that Hillary. She has no idea what we nurses do."
I remember it clearly because, the nurse was black (Bill was so popular with blacks) and I was impressed that she wouldn't just automatically support his wife.
It gave me a glimmer of *hope* I must admit.
Obama’s puppet, Hillary, is simply an egotistical, under educated liberal who wouldn’t know how to balance a chemical equation if her life depended on it.
Instead, she’s sold her soul to satan in return for her wealth and self-perceived prestige.
No one is fooled by her inflated opinion of herself and her bigotry.
Nurses are well educated, caring and altruistic people possessing traits that a female sociopath like the puppet will never have no matter how great she thinks she is.
That is incorrect.....many 1 year training and 2 year training nurses out there...being hired.
I've worked in hospitals many years now....I'm telling you the truth.
Halaalary Clinton?
