CARLISLE, Pa. (AP) Freshman U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey is the rare conservative Republican who is running for re-election with the support of leading gun-control groups, but it may not be enough to save him in Democratic-leaning Pennsylvania in this unusual election year.
...His stance so angered one gun-rights group that it is backing his Democratic opponent, Katie McGinty, just to send a message to Toomey and any other Republican who might deviate from orthodoxy on guns.

Toomey, who also has separated himself from most of his GOP Senate colleagues by refusing to endorse Donald Trump,
I didn’t see this posted (although it is a KYW TV top story) and thought it would be of interest to those in PA where you can vote “straight ticket” as opposed to having to vote for each candidate.

Excellent.
Toomey had his chance. He failed.
The “Stupid Party” has a death wish.
Toomey is backed by Nanny Bloomberg. Nothing else need be said...
I remember when Toomey was running against Specter and Freepers were angry with Santorum for not endorsing the ‘conservative’ Toomey.
Toomey has been quite a disappointment.

“U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey is the rare conservative Republican ...”
I’m sorry, but Toomey trashed his conservative bona fides a long time ago.
We owe apologies to Arlen Spector. Turns out he was to the right of Toomey after all.
Toomey turned out to be a sorry disappointment.
Toomey will lose for crossing gun owners.
Conservative, my ass.
Mea Culpa....
Indeed they do. Quite honestly, he deserves to lose this election, though his opponent is far worse than he is. But I will not feel bad one bit if he loses.
In the end, I may vote for him as he is the lesser of two evils, but that is not certain yet.
Actually, I think Rick Santorum is the one owed apologies: at least by me.
And a LOT of them....
I could be a yakuza and still count on the fingers of one hand those who have not been.
Do you really care if Republicans get the choice offices?
It’s not like giving them the majority again got anything else.
