This may be hard to believe, but Clinton has assumed that the election is in the bag and she does not need to bother with the voters. She is so confident she has won that she devotes her time to fundraising and collecting cash. Voters are a necessary whom she avoids as much as possible.

That is why Louisiana is not even on her radar screen. She is just running out the clock and expects to collect her prize the presidency. This sounds outrageous but that is in fact what she is thinking.

Hillary thinks she could use the playbook of William McKinley from 1896. Only one problem: this is 2016, and voters expect the candidate to be out in public as much as possible. Every Trump rally has several thousand to tens of thousands of attendees (plus a lot of overflow attendees in the parking lot nearby!); Hillary's rallies--whenever it happens--occur in very small venues that (if they're lucky!) gets at most around 1,500 attendees.
