New concerns arise about the mental health of students on college campuses all across the country.
Dr. Gene Beresin, a psychiatrist and Executive Director of The Clay Center for Young Healthy Minds at Massachusetts General Hospital, says 50% to 60% of college students have a psychiatric disorder.
What Im including in that is the use of substances, anxiety, depression, problems with relationships, break-ups, academic problems, learning disabilities, attentional problems, says Dr. Beresin. If you add them all up 50% doesnt seem that high.
Some undergraduates at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) agree.
People go through tough times, says Dane Erickson, a rising junior from Naples, Florida. Its really stressful sometimes here at school.
Most psychiatrists are twisted.
Eventually they will describe us all as mentally unfit to make gun confiscation easier.
Psychiatrists just prescribe prescription drugs, don’t they? That is my experience at least. (And why I “ran the other way”.)
So, what you are saying is that the professors are dealing with 50-percent of their students (minimum) who are unfit to really be in the class, concentrate, or grasp reality? Is that the jest of this?
If I were an HR guy reading this, and the company was hiring out forty graduates each summer...I’d probably start a mental exam requirement and make sure it was understood....we won’t hire crazies, even if you do have a degree.

Attention students...! Help yourself! First off, don’t attend any whacknut liberal college!!!
Problems with relationships, break-ups and academic problem? This seems like everyday life. I have more concerns about the mental health of psychiatrists.
Snowflakes are melting. Who knew?
Well, perhaps if their parents weren’t libs, they’d be more centered and normal. And if they think school is trouble, wait until they meet their first boss!
Color me cynical, a cry for more money and resources after 11/9 to deal with Trump-POTUS anxiety...
I was very glad my kids never went to college or university - it almost guarantees they will be indoctrinated. It worked out very well for my daughter (married her high-school sweetheart, a hard-working farmer), but my son became indoctrinated to the left by association. His buddies went to university and moved him right over to their views. Sad.
50% defective even with a degree...The liberals among us with problems
No, most will do talk therapy.
in a sense he’s right; they have capitalism-derangement syndrome, and unsafe-space-phobia.
It’s about time they admitted that liberalism is a mental disorder...
Attention students: get a two year technical degree or tech certification in an actively hiring field while living at home.
You’ll eliminate a ton of debt, have a solid living paying job and retain your common sense at completion.
(That is, IF you really want to work to support yourself.)
Good point...Most colleges today are propaganda tools of the left. Better off going to a tech school...one with NO social science/humanities ect. dept.
The drinking and drug culture tolerated by our aging hippy administrators who have allowed the whore house to be take over by the immature girls.
Bring back the old rules. Take it or leave it. Don’t like the rules go somewhere else to party.
