Being a surveyor, I’ve been in countless back yards.

Many have dogs, and the only ones I have ever had difficulty befriending have been chows.

They are aggressive, and bred for fighting. Not real smart, either.

*** “Not real smart, either” ***

Smartest Chow I ever met bled out in my back yard, dumbest neighbor I ever had called the Cops.

I buried my Dog on the premises, I think the dumb neighbor donated his Chow carcass to the nearest landfill.
(Idiot moved out a couple weeks later, complained to the Landlord about me ... I don’t think he got his whole deposit back. His Landlord has been a friend of mine for more than 20 years)

Years ago, we knew someone who raised AKC registered Chows. She was not a small time backyard breeder. Her dogs were prize winning show dogs. $$$$$ They all had attitudes, as if they thought they were royalty. The top stud thought himself particularly superior to men. He would look at them with a haughty demeanor, walk over nose in air, lift his leg and pee on them. I have never liked that breed.
