At today's silver prices ($18.88/oz)...34,427.966 oz
Of course, the same crowd who yell, "Whore of Babylon" a) don't study Scripture and b) are of the same sort who debated what horrible thing Job must have done to deserve such punishment from God.
So all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. They said to him, You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.
But when they said, Give us a king to lead us, this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. And the Lord told him: Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights.
Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king. He said, This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his own use. He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.
But the people refused to listen to Samuel. No! they said. We want a king over us. Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.
When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the Lord. The Lord answered, Listen to them and give them a king.
Soros wants to be king, like Obama, or Hitlery, who wants to be queen.
He has evil leftist children so his influence will be around for a very long while... Unless some kind of miracle zots them and their money out of existence...( one can hope )
This explains a great deal.
For someone who claims he doesn’t watch TV, he sure became an expert on the Obama Agenda overnight.
How much real good could have come from this money. May God have a serious talk with this guy.
I’m thinking that 2017 is going to be the year of reckoning. Fatima happened exactly 33 years after Pope Leo’s vision and the church failed to heed the warning immediately. Satan has been in control and yet he still hasn’t won, he’s angry because he knows God will prevail.
The facts presented do not match up with the presumption the author came up with. When are folks going to learn to recognize propaganda for what it is?
The modern equivalent of 30 pieces of silver no less.
Maybe when someone presents facts that dispute rather than presumptions themselves?
Reread the article with a critical eye, you can decipher the presumptive conclusions the author makes. Match the words spoken by the Bishop, without his rose colored propaganda lense. You will see this is crap.
The timelines just match-up too neatly. Soros cuts a check, and all of a sudden they shift into Social Justice Warrior mode.
What is crap is we the tax payers keep these bishops flush with cash.
Seriously?
The author quoted a number of times from the actual report, if you bothered to read the piece. Besides that, he used additional sources:
Attorney Elizabeth Yore, who served on the Heartland Institute Delegation that traveled to the Vatican in April 2015 to urge Pope Francis to re-examine his reliance on UN population control proponents who promote climate change, spoke to LifeSiteNews about the Soros initiative. Catholics serve as a huge and influential voting block in the U.S. election, she said. Soros, she said, is using the head of the Catholic Church to influence this key voting block, with the bully pulpit of the papacy to ensure Hilary Clintons election.
And this from the Daily Caller:
The Soros document goes on to state: By harnessing the Papal visit to lift up the Popes searing critique of what he calls an economy of exclusion and inequality and his dismissal of trickle down theories, PICO and FPL will work to build a bridge to a larger conversation about bread-and-butter economic concerns and shift national paradigms and priorities in the run-up to the 2016 presidential campaign.
Reread the title of this piece, in case you missed it: "Leaked e-mails show George Soros paid $650K to influence bishops during Popes US visit"
"The Pope is a Apostolic man of God...truly ordained by the Holy Spirit. He represents Jesus Christ and the Gospels of Jesus. His message of love and mercy is spot on and those who twist and distort his message should be wary of their own temptations." - 52 posted on 5/1/2016, 6:06:05 AM by Wpin
Anyhow, thank you for giving me the opportunity to out more Soros influence buying...
In my opinion, these Soros/Pope/USCCB connection claims (and the related money allegations) are very disturbing, and, if true, support a justifiable level of righteous anger by American Catholics right now.
It seems like we really need Divine help more than ever during these very troublesome days in this world. (Some links: Prayer, Prayer, Prayer.)
That was Soro’s intent...does not mean he succeeded and there was no evidence in what I read showing he succeeded. the author presumed guilt from actions by bishops who were acting in normal fashion with the Catholic faith. Supporting growth of Christian communities, helping the poor, etc.
Not arguing in defense of Soros...defending the Catholic faith and those who serve within.
“What is crap is we the tax payers keep these bishops flush with cash”
No they don’t...
The Catholic Church has been a proponent of Social Justice (different than liberals view on it) for centuries...you are just accepting what you read without thinking about it skeptically.
Oh, did the Bishops give the money back? If they did, why were Soros' agents so certain, in their report, the money was well spent in furtherance of Soros' agenda?
Social Justice means taking from one (usually by force or threat of force) to give to another. It's another 'ism' and in the long run, only benefits the state, or those in league with the state, and like the anti-Christian act that it is, it eventually destroys both the thriftless and the thrifty (e.g., see the collapse of the Soviet Union, see Cuba, see Venezuela,...).
IMHO, and respectfully, the Church should stick to the practice of encouraging charity through the teaching of the Almighty's word and by setting a righteous example - not by prostituting itself out to globalists in furtherance of power and funding for itself.
